Tumour Organoid
Drug Sensitivity Test
A new way to guide personalised treatment.
What is Tumour Organoid Drug Sensitivity Test?
Tumour Organoid Drug Sensitivity Test uses proprietary organoid technology to test how the patient’s tumour cells respond to a panel of oncology drugs in their tumour organoids. Since tumour organoid physiologically and genetically simulates the original tumour, the drug testing results will assist the medical practitioner in formulating personalized treatment strategies.
How it Works
Biopsy & Tissue Collection
A small portion of the patient’s tumour tissue is collected during surgery or a routine biopsy. Malignant body fluid is also acceptable.
Growing Tumour Organoids
The patient’s tumour organoids are grown in the laboratory and prepared for drug testing.
Testing Drug Responses
The grown tumour organoids are exposed to various cancer drugs in culture, and their response to each drug is measured in the laboratory.
Delivering Personalized Treatment Insights
A report summarizing the tumour organoid drug sensitivity is shared with the oncologist, who will review it alongside the patient’s clinical history to help guide a personalized treatment plan.
Tumour Organoid Drug Sensitivity Test Report
Patient ID
The Tumour Organoid Drug Sensitivity Test Report summarizes your tumour organoids responses to the drugs tested and provides information to support treatment planning. Your oncologist will review these results alongside your clinical history when planning your treatment.
